Tim Lewis – Founder/CEO Tim’s association with Haiti began in 2010 after the January earthquake.
Volunteering to help, he worked in Leogane for 4 months, living in a tent and working with locals to clear rubble. His passion for the environment inspired him to draw on his academic, corporate and volunteer experience to form OCC.
He has ten years of corporate sales experience in the education, investment banking and oil & gas sectors. He writes for various newspapers on the geopolitics of climate change and energy and gained a Masters in International Law and International Relations from the University of New South Wales, focussing on the geopolitical impact of the energy sector and climate change. He has written a book on the political consequences of global warming in south-east Asia.
Onel Dossou – Head of Operations Onel was born in Delmas. Port-au-Prince, and attended high school at Lycee Toussaint Louverture (LTL). After school, he developed a passion for the environment and in particular, restoring the forests of Haiti.
To achieve this, he completed a degree in agronomy, majoring in environmental sciences from the Universite Moderne d’Haiti. This complements his degree in Financial Economics from St.Bonaventure University.
Onel regularly travels to the United States to attend courses on tree husbandry, forestry and the study of soil. His vision to reforest Haiti drove him to contact Tim Lewis, which led to the creation of OCC.
